Standards

From the very beginning, Desing has directed all its attention towards the quality and safety of its products and production processes. However, with the development and expansion of business, the need for standardization also arose.

During the year 2005 Desing began a process of food safety systems introduction according to the Codex - Alimentarius Recommended International Code of Practice Standard - General Principles of Food Hygiene CAC/RCP 1-1969, Rev. 4-2003 and in the beginning of 2006 Desing received the HACCP certificate.
After this, Desing began developing business relations with companies which demand that their suppliers possess the HACCP certificate. This is how co-operation began with the foremost domestic and foreign companies (such as Knjaz Milos, McDonald’s, Frikom, Medela, Nestle Ice- Cream, Metro Cash & Carry, OMV and Intermol). It is for this reason that Desing has raised its profile on the domestic and foreign markets - including Hungary (Bake mark), Croatia (Ledo Zagreb) and Nestle Bulgaria.

During 2007, Desing decided to integrate its food safety system with the quality management system (QMS), and started implementation of QMS according to ISO 9001:2000. At the end of 2007 the company became successfully certified.

Increasingly stringent customer demands with regard to food quality and safety indicate the importance of these two standards. The safety and food quality system is certified and also adjusted to meet these specific demands which are set by existing and potential buyers. Work on the improvement of the integrated quality and food safety systems, as well as work on integration of concepts of risk management and environmental safety, are scheduled for the near future. These standardization activities do not end here. The standardization plan also envisages work on systems of health and safety at work. Through this, Desing will empower its management with all the relevant standards and management concepts now used in the world’s food industry.
