Production

The production plant is situated in Knjazevac, a fruit-growing region, 300 km southeast of Belgrade. The close proximity of direct fruit producers enables a reliable supply, for the processing system, of high quality raw ingredients which are the basis for our various products. NAVISION (Microsoft Business Solutions) governs production, which ensures the exact and accurate measurement of all raw ingredients and thus makes sure the desired quality of products is achieved.

In 2004, half of the income was generated from outside plants and the other half from Desing’s own facilities, while in 2005, income from our own plants exceeded 60%. The outsource production plan envisaged that, in the first quarter of 2006, outside production be moved into our own facilities. Having realized this objective, now 100% of our production income is generated in these plants. There are two shifts during the regular production cycle, while an additional shift is added during peak season. Current production is carried out in a production plant, covering an area of 1500m2, and is based on new food industry technology, which Desing acquires through constant contact with partners from Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Peru and France.
